The tale of Isildur's death was told along with how the One Ring passed out of knowledge.
Here he learned the stories of the people who had come to the Elven Sanctuary for peace and council. Once Frodo had healed, he was given the chance to wander around Rivendell. The two wizards fought each other, however Gandalf was captured until Gwaihir arrived and allowed him to escape. There, he discovered that Saruman had made contact with Sauron with the Palantir of Isengard, and that he was building up his own power to work with the Dark Lord, while secretly waiting for an opportunity to overthrow him. While Frodo traveled across Eriador, Gandalf the Grey went to Orthanc to seek the council of Saruman, the head of the Istari and the leader of the White Council. Playable Heroes: Frodo, Sam, Merry, Pippin, Aragorn (Strider), Arwen, Glorfindel The power of the Bruinen repelled the wraiths and Frodo could be healed by Lord Elrond. With athelas merely slowing the poison, the group required the help of the elves Glorfindel and Arwen to lead them to Rivendell and escape from the Ringwraiths. While they were there, they were attacked by 5 of the Ringwraiths, and though Strider managed to drive them back, Frodo was stabbed by a Morgul Blade.
On the way from Bree, Strider and the Hobbits stopped at Weathertop for some rest. Playable Heroes: Frodo, Sam, Merry, Pippin, Gildor Inglorion, Tom Bombadil, Aragorn (Strider) Strider helped the Hobbits from the Black Riders who were assaulting the town and then decided to lead them to Rivendell. Here, they met Strider, a ranger of the North who was the heir to the throne of Gondor. Eventually, they managed to reach the town of Bree. They met Gildor and Tom Bombadil who helped the Hobbits through the dangers of the land. On the way, the Hobbits were chased through Eriador by the Black Riders who were in search of the Ring. After being advised by Gandalf the Grey, Frodo set out of the Shire with his close friends Sam, Pippin and Merry to take the Ring to Rivendell. Playable Heroes: Isildur, Elrond, Elendur, Elendil, Gil-GaladĪfter Bilbo's 111th birthday, his nephew Frodo was left with the One Ring. Isildur cut the One Ring from Sauron's hand but refused to have it destroyed and so the spirit of Sauron endured. Eventually, Sauron came out to duel the leaders of the Last Alliance which led to their death, although Sauron himself was defeated. With Gil-Galad and Elrond leading the elves and Elendil and his sons leading the forces of Numenor, they fought on the slopes of Mount Doom against Sauron's hordes. At the end of the Second Age, the combined forces of Elves and Men marched onto the Black Land of Mordor to destroy the threat of Sauron.
